I was completely enamored of Dee Trainor's tales. She took lemons and made lemonade and her stories reflect a strength of spirit and of determination that are remarkable. Plus she has a story telling knack that is charming. A delightful read. The only complaint is that the book is too short. Hopefully she held a few tales back for the next volume.Product details

This is a wonderful collection of stories, written by a gifted artist. Left with seven children, ranging in age from 1-10, Dee Trainor not only survived, but THRIVED. Her stories are uplifting, humorous, and sometimes sad. They are always inspiring. What a gift to read this book!
Full disclosure I have known this author for more than 15 years. Her distinctive voice comes through as she tells stories about her "charmed life" as she reared seven children as a single mom in the sixties and seventies. This is a memoir filled with optimism despite hardship. Read it!
